Okay. So I went to sleep around 10:30pm or 11pm last night. I arose at 6:15am and took a shower and skipped breakfast. I took care of Odette, Shiela, and the birds. I grabbed my stuff and ran out the door at 8:10am when Bethany picked me up. We had interesting convis the entire day. Initially, we went to Flintwood where she gave Riley a lesson on Banjo after I groomed him. I noted that Riley gets impatient quickly, and as I observed them I was leading Rev around (I almost got frostbite this morning after unwrapping his knee/leg and leading him to the lower barn and around the arena) and trying to avoid Sly and his owner who were walking, trotting, and cantering all over the arena. Then I put Rev away after an hour and 10 minutes of walking him. He was such a handful initially, but he became obediant three fourths of the way through the walking around. I don't blame him for being a handful-after all he's been cooped up for the last 2 days in his stall. However, for safety's sake, we used the chain lead and strung it in such a manner that we could control him without compromising his training or physical attributes. (AKA Chain over/around noseband so as not to break his nose should he resist). Afterwards, I warmed up and fed him a treat. Then Bethany and I went to Sweeney Farms to work with Colby and (I forget the other horse's name) another miniature horse who are owned by Emily and her family. Then the country hick type guy tried hitting on me and I told him off (Bethany was cracking up hysterically). Then we tried to visit Gary (Bethany's bf) at work, but he wasn't there, so we went back to Flintwood Farm after getting pizza. I helped tack up Banjo for Nicole and got to play along with that lesson-as in, I was the aerobics demonstrator from the ground. About a half hour later, Dave showed up. Thank God!
Okay, so we got my stuff outta Bethany's car and I got the gate for him, yadda yadda yadda. We got to his house, hung out a bit, fell "asleep" (well I didn't but he did lol) and his sister woke us up. His mom described us as "sleeping angels". Wham rocks. So anyways, I dressed in Amy's room and Dave dressed in his room, yadda yadda yadda. I got my makeup did and my contacts in after brushing my hair and borrowing an awesome sweater and an awesome leather jacket from Amy. After getting the pearls on, we left with Amy and her friend Tyler to go to Jack's Oysterhouse in Albany. Thank God I dressed up.
Okay. Picture me in heels, with a SHORT dress on, with contacts, makeup, and a sweater and leather jacket on. Picture Dave in dark grey/black pants and a matching sweater. Now picture us in a fancy restaurant. With 8 others: his dad, his mom, Ali, her bf Alex, Amy, her friend Tyler, and Dave's two brothers: Greg, and Alex. This is the sort of place where there are cloth napkins and a million waiters. Okay. Well I felt clumsy. However, the food and conversation was excellent, and I tried to have manners. Did it work? Who knows. But I tried.
WHAT I ATE
Appetizers: Clam Casino (I had 2) and a Crab Cake (holy cow, love the crab cakes there!)
Salad: House salad with Italian dressing. Ate all of it except the 2 mini tomatoes
Main course: Something-or-other whatever-you-call-it Cod Fillet. Served with potatoes, round carrot thingies, and few green beans. All of it was muy excelente and I ate it all!
Drinks: Shirley Temples. I had at least 3 or 4. Haha, that's 8 cherries because they love me!
Dessert: Silky Chocolate Mousse Torte with Raspberry Sauce, 3 raspberries, and whip cream and a mint leaf.
Absolutely delicious! The raspberry sauce looked like it had hearts in it. I took a picture of it, that will be posted soon.
In the course of the evening, I gave away both my forks, stole one of Dave's and hid it from him, decided to name a play "Stabbed by a Stiletto" lol, and stole the conversation. And repeatedly interrupted it, interjected, and just talked. A lot. But anyways, I love Dave's family. I still can't believe his dad thinks we're doing it. Haha, it's funny but not at the same time. Lol. Oh yeah, and I got to try Dave's salmon and the peanut caramel something or other dessert he had (I wouldn't let him order cheesecake-yucky!) But we took pics, etc. And we speed walked using fast mini steps since I was in heels. Then I cuddled with him in Amy's car and we got back to his house. We then messed around with the digi cam until it got late. We managed to take over 50 pics, haha. They need to be made into a better quality so I can upload and post them. Thank God I have the software to cover that. At any rate, tomorrow I need to clean Thor's cage, drop off Mara's stuff, work, and go to church and xmas shopping with my love and reformat the pics. I am so fricking tired. So what I will do is take Odette out, care for Shiela and the birds, change, and sleep. But I got pics today from Dave's regular camera from Semi Formal and am pleased to say they turned out just dandy. I was thrilled, to say the least. I can't wait to see the pics from his parent's digi cam.
Overall, today totally rocked and it was fun. Dave totally rocks, and so do my hunnies! I love you all!
