Name any pairing from any of my fandoms and I'll talk about my thoughts/opinions on them!
...I mean any pairing and any fandom. And you may ask for more than one pairing.
And...I have an epic amount of
dw100 drabbles to post. Like...over 9000 twenty. D:
Oh, you want rational thought. Okay. Jamie loves the Doctor ('cause he's all heartbroken in Evil of the Daleks when he feels that the Doctor doesn't like him anymore) and the Doctor's still rather annoyed about what the Time Lords did to Jamie three regenerations later (and assumedly centuries, but we're not sure how long), so Two obviously felt something for Jamie back. Six certainly did, if you take the line "I was always very fond of Jamie" in a way that it may or may not have been meant.
And of course, there's Ten's mention of 'Doctor James McCrimmon', which, considering the only other Old Who companions he's mentioned have been Sarah Jane (who's appeared on the show) and the Brigadier (who's appeared in SJA), that's no small feat.
...And this has turned into more general Doctor/Jamie, rather than Two/Jamie. I'm sorry. D:
- Three/Master. And this is where I admit that I still haven't seen any Delgado!Master stories yet. I'm getting to them, I swear!
Um, in general, the Master tends to be both equal and opposite to the Doctor that they play against. Simm!Master's manic psychopathy goes against Ten's equally manic drive to do good (and often fail, but this is Doctor Who); Ainley!Master's secretive nature and tendency to disguise himself contrasts with Four and Six, who couldn't disguise themselves if they tried, and with Five, who was pretty much an open book (as much as any of the Doctors could be considered open books) and tended to let his companions be the secretive ones.
Of course, Roberts!Master is a different story, as (apart from the fact that neither of them have an indoor voice) he has nothing in common with Eight. Which might be one of the reasons why he's a terrible Master (as opposed to his bad acting).
- Jack/Owen. I don't ship Jack/Owen. I'm sure that they probably had sex at some point (and more power to them if they did), but Owen was probably drunk at the time.
- Raito/Matsuda. Raito's clearly just using Matsuda because he thinks that he can persuade him to join the 'right' side (because he's still in his naive early stages and doesn't see why a good, honest and hardworking man like Matsuda has to die for his perfect world). Matsuda's completely oblivious to this, but is still more loyal to Raito's father than he is to Raito himself.
After Raito goes batshit insane off-the-rails a little, he decides that Matsuda's not worth saving and goes back to manipulating Misa and Takada.
- Kazuo/Ianto. Well, Ianto doesn't personally have any problems with Kazuo (he's tidy and clever) but Gwen and Owen claim he reminds them of a Cyberman and, after a while, he was forced to agree. He was just too emotionless, too efficient.
After an incident where Kazuo intentionally missed with the Singularity Scalpel (he claimed that he wanted to see what would happen if it didn't work), Owen drugged him up to the eyeballs with Retcon and dumped him completely naked (there was a reason for this, he knew that Kazuo was a genius and he didn't want anything to trigger the memories, like it did with Gwen) on a train to Edinburgh. He doesn't know that Ianto knows that he did this, but Ianto found out several weeks later. He was not impressed, to say the least.

YOU MUST! YOU ARE NEGLECTING DELGADO! WHO IS PERFECT AND WONDERFUL AND LOVELY! *nods* I like your thoughts though - they are interesting. Delgado IS kind of Third's opposite actually - they're both gentlemenly but Third is "grandfather gentlemen" and Delgado is "sexy malevolent gentlemen." It all works out!
(oddly enough, I quite like Roberts!Master. It's one of the only bits of that film I do like. I'm not sure WHY I like him mind you - perhaps it's just that mostly, the film annoys me so much that I'm just looking for something to like!)
You're probably right about Jack/Owen. I suspect Owen was drunk and I also suspect that there was an element of hatesex in there. Or confused misery sex. One or the other.
Oh, I really I like your idea of Raito and Matsuda. *cuddles poor Matsuda* Raito is evil and fiendish and MEAN. And jealous because Matsuda is totally in love with Soichiro.
*cackles a LOT* That is the best scenarion EVER. I adore Owen's idea of getting rid of Kazuo! And I can just imagine Ianto's expression when he found out! *sporfles*

I am neglecting Delgado, but it's in a good cause! I'm brushing up on Ben/Polly serials instead (I have a cunning plan...involving fic. Much fic) and I love The War Machines so much. I do intend to watch some Delgado serials when I get back to Three
*is doing it fairly randomly, needs to watch that Recon of The Macra Terror that she has half-torrented on her computer and watch those three Seven serials she bought last week (Ghost Light, Curse of Fenric and Survival. I was hoping for a Mel one, but apparently the BBC gods do not like redheaded companions and you can take that to mean that I have £50 of my loan saved away for the Black Guardian boxset when/if it comes out)*
I can't stand Roberts!Master. For me, the only redeeming features is that Chang Lee is pretty and I love Paul McGann's voice (and he's pretty too, obviously). And gothic!TARDIS.
I'd say confused misery!sex. The strange thing about Owen, as far as I can see, is that he doesn't seem to hate anyone but himself. He dislikes everyone, to greater or lesser degrees, but it isn't in the way that, for example, Jack and Ianto hated Adam after they found out what he was doing (and I know, that's a terrible example, but I can't actually think at the moment) and that's another thing I like about 'Ghost Machine' because he clearly isn't used to actually hating someone to the extent that he now does Ed Morgan and it kind of scares him.
It's ironic because Matsuda's devotion to (non-shinigami) justice and his loyalty should earn him a place in Raito's world, but they're also exactly the reasons why he could never take it even if he was offered. *hugs Matsuda* Rock, meet hard place.
Owen didn't get to do it to Rhys at the stag night, so he's just trying to get even for that. And I did say that there was a reason for it. *is defensive* :D
