Gearing up!
1. Finally got down to getting ready for the start of the semester next week. Sorting out class schedules, sorting out finances. Much to do in the week before school begins. A need to re-program my social life to fit classes. A need to re-align my sleep patterns.
2. SMU students made the front cover of Newsweek, 20th August 2007. An achievement for the university, I suppose.
3. New rules regarding double degree applications have been published for incoming students hoping to do Law as a combined degree. Applications to the law double degree program has been changed to by invitation only. Apparently even a facade of meritocracy is no longer required.
4. Rush Hour 3 was good. Even though I disliked the part where Chris Tucker scolds the guy for speaking French (I found it grossly hypocritical since he was a Black American that spoke English and not some African language), the movie was overall very enjoyable. I would rate it as one of the better movies I've seen this summer season.
5. Received a postcard from a friend in Italy. She's having a blast on summer vacation at a seaside resort. Great to hear from her. Will definately send her a postcard from KL! A pleasant surprise to get a card once in a while. :)
