if I don't write poetry
my hands stiffen
and i cant touch you
in the same way
anymore
my fingers starts to feel like
sandpaper
meeting your rough skin
but poetry is not about perfection
i don't like to make straight
what lies naturally crooked
i'm just here to find
the sensuality
underneath your ruggedness
which brings me to say
how much i like the way
you pull my hair gently
when you have such strong hands
i have to write poetry
if i want to find
the beauty
in life's complex mystery
and revel
in the colors
one begins to see
when you start
looking from a different angle
have i ever mentioned how good
you look from where i'm
sitting?
maybe not...
I wanted to save it for
poetry
