I live!
Okay, today was the arts & craft fair I've been stressing about, and it's OVER, YAY!!!
The weather was gorgeous - it was a bit cool in the morning, and pleasantly warm in the afternoon, and mostly sunny all day. There was a bit of a breeze in the morning that knocked over some stuff like posters, but not enough to be more than mildly annoying.
Despite all the teasing I get about liking to sleep in, I was actually the second of our members there... and I got there less than five minutes later than the first of us, and a good five minutes before the two who'd been giving me the most grief. So there. :P
Made a little money - not a ton, but not bad. I also got an invitation to come to the fair over in Branchville and sell my stuff there. Which, since I have plenty left over and plenty of material to make more of the larger pieces which seemed to sell better, I may do. Although I'll be bringing my tent if I do. After all, I won't be guaranteed positioned right under a tree and won't have a tent right next to me that I can pop under, so putting up a tent by myself will be an issue. And, I wouldn't have someone right there that I can ask to keep an eye on the booth so I can go to the bathroom and look around. Plus I won't automatically get a free booth, so that's an issue as well.
There were some interesting booths, and I got in contact with a couple of people who might do stuff for the library. We've got a local author who swears she'll come to do another author talk when her next book comes out in a few weeks. Saw a bunch of people I know, sold to some of them, and got a commission from one of the other clubwomen who had never seen my stuff. I'll have to figure out what to do with Fiesta-ware colors.
And then, after it was all over and everything was packed up and picked up, I came home, and I crashed. As in, I grabbed a TV dinner, ate, sat down to watch a little TV, and the next thing that I knew it was 3 am. -_-;
Oh well, it's not like I wanted to watch anything that came on earlier anyway. Cartoon Network has tossed its Saturday night lineup into the crapper, and the only two things they have anymore that are worth watching are Code Geass and Moribito, and those don't come on until 5 am anyway.
