What, no politics?

No, no politics - I've been too busy. I've mentioned that I'm involved in planning and organizing the local arts & crafts fair, right? It's Saturday. As in the day after tomorrow. And tomorrow we'll be setting up for that after I get off work.

Saturday I have to be there at 7 am when people start arriving to sell their stuff, even though the actual event doesn't start until 10. It'll keep going until 4 pm, and I'll need to be there the whole time until the last person is packed up and the last piece of trash is tossed in the barrels.

The closer we get to the day, the more I want to strangle R for volunteering us for this. Just because she heard that it's traditionally the arts committee's responsibility doesn't mean we had to actually do it - it's been at least two years since we did do it, because the whole time I've been here, it's been XO and D running the show. The arts committee (which I wasn't chair of until this year) just did whatever they said when they said it.

And I have to set up my own table and make sure it's manned when stuff comes up, and it's going to come up. Good thing I'll be able to set up right by the club tent, because I may need to dragoon some of my fellow clubmembers into watching it for me sometimes.

I have to keep reminding myself that I've taken three days off next week, so once I get through this I can spend Sunday recovering and then three glorious days of freedom! (And sleep. I'm pretty sure there will be lots of sleep.)
