Story/Fanfic meme!

This sounded way to interesting to pass up. Plus it might help motivate me. (I saw this on nezumiko's LJ first, but I hear kilerkki came up with it?)

1. Pick four unfinished stories, fandom or original.
2. Post the title and summary of each, along with four lines or four paragraphs.
3. Let the commenters vote on which one you should finish.
4. If you like it, pass it on!

Be prepared for a lot of old crap. Er, I mean...*supposes she should be optimistic* crack.

1. A-Typical DBZ Story
Take your typical DBZ plot, add sarcasm, bash heavily, half-bake. Serves no purpose whatsoever. (A humorous romp of nonesense.)

Vegeta, Prince of the former planet Vegeta-sei, noticed that something was amiss. Doing a quick assessment of his home and self, he soon found that his kids weren’t whining, his wife wasn’t cooking, and his ego was still inflated to “Full.” Seeing that all these things were right in the world, he automatically assumed that whatever it was that was bugging him couldn’t be that important.

“Papa!” his 9-year old daughter happily sing-songed as she skipped into the room. “The TV says that City Hall got blown up by a spaceship and Mama wants you to go save the world again!”

World Domination, drat. He always forgot to check and see if the planet was being overthrown. He really needed to start a list…

2. 20 Truths: Kurenai and Team 8
The "20 Truths" challenge looking through Kurenai's eyes at Team 8 and how they not only change each other, but her as well.

It took years for Kurenai to achieve the rank of jounin-partially because she lacked the skills, mostly because she lacked the time. The day she did, in her heart she felt sure that she would now have the opportunity to truly benefit Konoha on the field in its most dangerous and high-leveled missions.

Three months later she was assigned by Hokage to a mere genin squad, fresh from the academy. She hated her team even before she met them.

***

Kurenai loved her team the moment she met them. They couldn’t have been more different, but they had a unique sense of appeal. She liked the quiet focus of Aburame, the determined spirit of Inuzuka, and Hyuuga’s firm compassion. But perhaps most of all she liked that they were misfits, much like she had once been.

In a not entirely understood way, she felt right at home from the start.

3. Through the Dark
An AU story branching off at the Sasuke Arc, where Naruto and his friends succeed in bringing the Uchiha back to the village...but at a very high price.

For a long while, nothing existed outside of his awareness except for an empty street and the roar of rain. The rest of him was too preoccupied with the problem wrestling within.

For this mission, Naruto could remember having only made one promise: to bring back Sasuke. He had kept that promise.

So why was it? Why was it, when Hinata had cried softly under the rain…

…something felt broken.

4. Sethrolander
An original story of the maiden who must be rescued from the fearsome dragon, and fearsome dragon who can't wait to be rid of her. Told from the dragon's point-of-view.

This story starts with a human sacrifice. Granted, most tales do not begin like this, and indeed, neither really does this one. It is, however, where it will start.

It was partially my fault, I suppose, for over-indulging myself on their herds. But really, it’s only natural for a regal beast of my size to be a little finicky and famished after a sleep that spanned over twenty summers. It’s actually like this every other decade, so I fail to see why they’re still so surprised to see me, running about and flailing in a panic, gathering up their young while screaming, “Dragon! Dragon!” Tush. It’s as though they imagine I’m about to decide they are somehow much more delectable morsels than the fatted cows and sheep which hold far superior meat and flavor. Really. Humans can be such arrogant things.

And I for one would like to meet the uneducated barbarian who started the rumor that Dragons can be appeased through the means of human sacrifice-specifically of the virgin and maiden variety. What on earth this deluded fool was thinking we’d do with said virgin maidens is nothing I’m sure I wish to know, and I prefer to give him the benefit of a doubt by assuming he thought they would just taste better. I don’t actually wish to ask where or how he got the idea. I only wish to snap him up in my jaws, chew on him for a while, spit him back out, and tell his mauled remains that Dragons do not like to eat humans, thank you. They are far too dirty, wriggle unpleasantly, and there’s not enough food on their bones to make them worth the effort.

But regardless of how these little trifles get started, the fact of the matter is that upon my coming down the third day to again replenish on their abundance, there she was.

This should be...interesting if nothing else.
