Poetry corner again, this time with a few poems! The first one "Eternal Fire" is new today the others are a little older but not by much.
Eternal Fire
My fingers lock together with yours
Our hands held together tight
You are the one my heart adores
Together assured we'll be allright
Our bodies laid together in rest
You tell me you are forever mine
Place your head on my chest
And know for you I will walk the line
Never doubt and never fear
As long as I am your desire
I will be forever near
Our passion will burn like eternal fire
Always There
You saw so much inside of me
A strength and love I had to share
Something I could not yet see
Despite the fact it was always there
When sadness filled inside my heart
When my ego was battered and bruised
You would not let me tear myself apart
And gave me courage in the paths I choose
A simple thanks cannot detail
My appreciation for the strength you shared
When my confidence had started to fail
And letting me know how much you cared
Starlight Pilgrim
Eternal stars that watch
Guide my hand
Lead my soul on a journey
Never seen on this land
And bless me with your grace
And your brilliant might
That I might find a reason
The cause for which I fight
When our souls are tired
Please don't lead us astray
Lead us to salvation
Our eternal place to stay
I will journey on
Wander the darkness and the light
Through this world and beyond
To find the cause for which I fight
Interesting setup on this poem. Follows an A, B, A, C -> A, D, A, C kind of rhyme setup where every last line rhymes. :) I kind of like how it turned out.
All or Nothing
Will you gaze into my eyes
And peer into my lover's soul
Then you will see there are no lies
There is nothing I will conceal
So when I say that I love you
Have no fears, have no doubt
My love now and forever is true
Even if it may not seem real
All my joys and despair
No matter what the emotion be
I want to open it up and share
I give my all, no matter what I feel
Hold me tight in your embrace
And share your all as well
And as we hold each other face to face
With this kiss our love is sealed
Monochromatic
Dreaming in the twilight sea
My thoughts flow with color devoid
This monochrome soul inside of me
Has been beaten, all but destroyed
Floating on, my eyes stare past
The shadows of the endless night
Wondering how long my spirit will last
How far goes my will to fight
Waiting for the cleansing rain
Come and drench this darkened heart
Wash away this searing pain
That desires to tear me apart
Then no longer will this shadow fall
I will not linger on for death
To find my strength to stand tall
Shall I fight to my final breath
Shadows pass, I'll focus ahead
Taking this path with my own power
I shall walk without being led
Instead of waiting for the 11th hour
