Ether Refracted
The Ether envelops all we see
Reaching out into our souls
We stand in adversity
Fighting
Dreaming
Loving
Dying
Cowering from that we cannot understand
The Abyss calls
Do not answer
And demands our souls
Keep it at bay
Peering into our fears
It will swallow your light
And showing the nightmares of our mind
But what it shows is truth
We all have our skew on this truth
That shapes our very universe
Light and the Dark
Love and Fear
our eyes see with clouded haze
Shaped by our emotions
and our own prejudice
We cannot know
We cannot see
We cannot comprehend
We cannot seem to face
The absolute truth
For none are without clouds
The light refracts and changes
To be without this
Is not to be human
Okay after reading this a few times, I have to say I think it kinda sucks. I write to spark emotions, however, and think that it would be a waste not to post it to see if it gets any reactions. We'll have to see. :)
