Chapter 8a
During that time he gathered courage to make physical contact. It was only a gentle touch of his hand , but it was a great solace for broken heart and soul. I never made an eye contact , but I knew that he's observing me and that he yearns to see my eyes and face. I told him about the cold relationship of my parents and two brothers towards me , about all their frauds , scoffing , humiliation. About that how parents actually turned Reita and Toshiya against me , how they considered me as a Gods punishment. I talked about how Kyo and Aoi raised me up and how they were the only persons who were attentative to me.
"Oh , I never thought that it was so serious." uttered Ruki with sadness , care and a bit of anger in voice.
"You learn to bear that , although it hurts you but you hide and suppress thise feelings because you don't want others to see that it hurts you." I added with sadness.
Now his hand was on mine and with gentle squeeze he showed solace.
"I'm so sorry because in some way I forced you to open so painful wound again. I'm sorry." you could discern the tears in his voice.
"Don't be sorry. I think that it's better to tell someone. There is one more picture from my life , and it's about Kai. He never showed that he hates me like others did , but he wasn't like Aoi and Kyo either. I could only feel that he loves me , but there wasn't confirmation for that. First time when he showed that he care was when I was still in 6th grade. It was almost the end of school year. Like always a group of kids were harassing me. It was getting worse. That time they pushed and pressed me to the wall along with mocking. I got hit in the face too. Then Kai showed.
"Leave my sister alone! Come on beat it!" he said. They moved. I thanked him quietly.
"Come on , let's go home."
I followed him with bowed head and hide my tears. For 20 minutes he didn't notice that I cried. That much time was needed to come from school to home. When we entered the house he turned towards me and remaine shocked.
"Hey , are you crying?"
I couldn't suppress sobs anymore. He approached and hugged me.
"Everything will be fine , don't worry."
Then Kyo and Aoi showed. Now it was their turn to be shocked.
"What happened?" asked Kyo worriedly.
"Some kids were harassing her." answered Kai.
I calmed down a bit so Aoi took his place.
"Don't tell to parents about this , I just need a little more time." he pleaded.
Kyo nodded "Look , we don't like parents that much that we would tell them anything. You're safe."
