Welcome and greetings! It sounds like you live in an amazing place. I'm jealous of your snow! It's still too hot where I am in the southeast to wear long-sleeves during the day. Starvatia sounds magnificent, I'd love to see a picture! I just began making little top hats for myself. I have all the materials, I just need to make myself put them together. Lovely to have you join. :)
oooo! send me a pattern? Where do you live?? I was in Hawaii for a long time so I know the "too hot" feeling all too well. It's so hard to wear nice clothes when it's all sticky!
Alas, I have no pattern: I'm taking the lazy way out and covering a cheap pre-made doll's hat from a craft store. But I'm hoping that the ribbons and satin will make up for its humble origins! :) I'm definitely not as tropical as Hawaii, living as I am in Tennessee, and it does get cold here, it just takes a bloody long time to do it! We actually had a cold spell last week that gave me some hope, but it was apparently just a phase. No matter, though. I'm about to break out my new winter coat on a trip to the UK, where the wind is always blowing and the skies are always grey. :D
I see...I might have to do the same! Also, I have been to London 3 times and I love it there. People don't give a fuck what you look like there so much. Where in the UK are you going??
I'm traveling to various places in England, visiting friends and such, but also spending several days in London. It's true, I noticed much more body modification and fun hair in the UK than in the US. It's a shame that the US isn't as open-minded when it comes to looks!
