i am very much just joking. trying to perfect my DUMB TEENAGE BOY voice. school's fine with me, but the hectic nature of it is DRIVIN' ME NUTS. like a pirate's crotch-based steering wheel.
what do you do here? i know you're a grad student, but what do you do? nothing would draw me back post-graduation to uno but the english department saying "LEIGH! JUST DRAW A BUNCH OF COMICS AND TELL KIDS ABOUT THEM AND WE'LL PAY YOU $100/WEEK!" then i would say, "ok but only if i get to live on the top floor of the LIBRARY for free" then i'd just stage a bunch of sword fights on the roof of the library.
also, re: when i am ever on campus: I'M HERE RIGHT NOW! and pretty much all day on tuesdays and thursdays. WE CAN FIGURE THIS OUT, or you can just bring it out to the show on tuesday if you will be there . . . ?
nah, i'm not a grad student. though i would much prefer to be one of those than an employee. i work in an arctic-like, harshly-lit, cavernous space in the very back of the registrar's office, scanning old admissions records and inputting them into an electronic database. it's a "digital imaging" job, but could very easily be performed by larger babies and toddlers. i guess i'm not *as* lame as i could be, considering that i graduated from loyola and not UNO, but this is still really lame. i'm planning to take some classes next semester, though, as i'll have been here a year and it'll be free. then i probably won't be nearly as bored with UNO as an entity.
i'm on campus now, naturally, but i didn't bring it with me. i'll just stick it in my backpack and if i don't see you before that show, i'll give it to you then.
i just read my comment and i sound like i think graduating from UNO is lame. this is an inaccurate representation of my feelings on the matter. i think if i had gone to school here, and then proceeded to work here, my lameness level would be exponentially higher than it is having gone to another college. that's what i meant by my statement about not being as lame as i could be.
now, do i want to go to java city to get my slightly charred coffee NOW, or do i wait a while...
