The Festival of Lights

First and foremost:

Happy Hanukkah!

I know there's like one person who reads this that's Jewish but it must be said.  It's my holiday after all.

I finally finished my movie today. Which for those of you who don't know, was a 5-10 minute film we had to create independently for Film workshop.  After many problems with production and basically learning as we went along for editing it came out much better than I expected.  I've actually become pretty good at editing.  Yesterday my partner/friend Amanda and I spent five solid hours (I'm not kidding I skipped lunch and ditched Spanish) finishing all of it.  Towards the end we started playing that game where you slap each others hand as hard as possible till someone lets go, just to keep us awake.  Besides the exhaustion I really liked the editing process though.  I'm already planning my next movie which wont be started till fourth quarter.  My teacher is burning it to a dvd this weekend and I might eventually try to figure out how to post it on here.  I play the only two characters which looks kind of cool when we have on interview the other.  Our last minute idea -as we had to scrap our original one- ended up being the horrors of applying to college.

I also learned that I can't miss more than four more days of school this school year or I might not get credit for my course.  It's completely fucking stupid.  I better not get sick.

Ooh and after a long dryspell NSAA finally gets a new scandal.  Some people got busted with Cocaine and kicked out/possibly arrested.  I'm pretty bummed because one of the girls has been in my classes the past few years and done some plays with me.  I liked her alot, not to mention she just got cast in a lead role in the school play.  Several of my friends, myself included, think the new scandal will be with the new History teacher.  Let's just say alot of the girls flirt with him and he flirts back.  Ew.  What with desk throwing teacher last year, the heroin bust the year before, as well as the teacher who gave her students pot and alcohol my school has a great track record.

Less excitingly, I applied to U of Southern Cali and Ithaca, bringing my college app count to six.

I am so ready for this break.

film, school, hanukkah
