Look up and take note.

This community's been pretty low-profile lately (i.e not many interesting posts), so I thought I would share a little something with you guys.

I've been wondering, here and there, on and off, what kids in Singapore are inspired by. Like, what magazines do you browse (imported or local), what fashion sites do you surf (thefashionspot? facebook? street fashion sites?), etc. I think we've definitely come a long way from back then before, where fashion was like almost totally non-existent, but I think, that we can do better. I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this, but sometimes I feel like, even though some people are trying to be different, they're actually the same. Like the same difference.

Take for instance, the whole black opaque tights thing. It's like, we try to jazz up an outfit with black tights. We think it's different. Hell, backtrack four to five years ago, people stared at you if you wore tights (mind you, I've been a fan of tights since the beginning of time). But the thing is, everyone is wearing them! So it's the same difference.

Aiiiight, I don't know if you catch my drift, but here are some pictures of the fashion (Japanese street fashion) that I'm inspired by.

I know some people will say the weather is a factor. So I ask, ignoring the weather, would YOU wear outfits like these?

I'm pretty sure not street fashion is not everyone's cup of tea, so what are you inspired by?
