This was my night of denial. Given I did about 6 hours of Chinese homework and went to class this evening I don't want to think about what else I'm denying, but that's the whole point now, isn't it. I took a sanity/homework day off from chamber singers- I hope for their sake it wasn't another hour and a half straight of Brahms, but if it was I wasn't there. Then I came back to tower, did Chinese, slept through dinner, did half my reading for the class I had in an hour, went to class, sat in the lounge and did more Chinese while people watched Closer. The movie itself wouldn't have been so bad except for the manner in which it was watched. Certian people were playing 'spot the most terrible person'. Granted none of the characters are paragons of human virtue, but there's something about watching a movie so you can feel better about yourself that just sits wrong with me. It's like voyeuristic psychological bullying. Then when the movie was over Gordon launched into a discussion about the movie with Prospie- and by discussion I really do just mean trying to win the argument. I hate listening to him do that- it's not that he has to be right, it's just that everyone else has to be wrong so he can win. But anyway. I finished most of my Chinese while I was in the lounge... and ate a whole pizza while I was at it. Because while you're in denial, eating a whole frozen pizza in an hour and a half is okay. I can no longer deny that that was a terrible idea. Even after missing dinner, ugh. Just ugh. (But it was my pizza, and only mine. Yes, my preciousssss...) I think I'm gonna go curl up and die now before all those calories kick in and have me bouncing off the walls all night.
No afternoon class tomorrow! I'm off at noon and I've already stuck my calligraphy homework in my bag. Wheee!
