I seem to be averaging two post per month these days.  Oh well, I'll try harder now, but you never know.  I might start posting every day.  Then you'll really be sorry.

Anyway, work is much as it ever was.  No highlights to speak of really, the 12th floor is different, much colder it seems, and marketing people are loud throughout the day.  I'm ready for June 1st to hurry up and get here, and for a position to miraculously open for me that would be a perfect fit...like the one that was open last week, but couldn't apply for.  Curses.  Otherwise, nothing's blown up too much, and the marketing guy for my potato fleet continues to charm the socks of me.  Holy cow, he's dreamy.

I feel surprisingly social over the past few weeks.  I usually have somewhere to go or be on the weekends, sometimes multiple places.  The first weekend in May I had training in the morning, lunch with Cecily in the afternoon, ran into Megan and Kelly while I was at Starbucks, went to dance practice, hung out with Eric in the evening, and made it home in time for a midnight episode of Doctor Who, and my entire family was still awake.  Phew.  Busy girl.

This past weekend was kind of similar, dancing Friday night, Sherlock on Saturday morning, lunch with Cecily and Adam in the afternoon, dance practice as usual, and then another fabulous game night over at Kaleb's.  Always a good time.  Dancing was awesome Friday except I had somehow strained my back and was feeling pretty sore by the end of the evening, and it was making me cranky.  Plus the fan on Holmes has suddenly quit working, which upsets me GREATLY.  I do not want this car to suddenly become a money pit, or have to be hauled into the garage every other week.

Lunch with Cecily and Adam was quite fun, they are kindred spirits.  We talked about the requirements of breaking up with someone, guys, if you're going to dump us, please let it happen when we're alone, not in a crowded room.  Having witnesses is not a guarantee we won't kill you, and it just makes things ten times harder on us.  We also discussed the Game of Thrones series, which I have neither read or seen, but am enjoying hearing about from brother.  Jack does a wonderful secondhand rendition of it, which suits me fine.  We're just waiting for someone to get nailed in the balls by Sean Bean.

Game night was awesome as game night usually is.  It would've been nice it was 75 degrees instead of 52, but we still had a blast.  Rock band was pretty epic, lots of loudness.  Kaleb and I did a nice cover of "Obsession", he also knows all the words to "Paradise by the Dashboard Light", even the baseball game bit.  And I got sucked into a game of ping pong that lasted until 3 am yet again.  That always happens to me, I think to myself I should leave soon, and wind up playing ping pong till the wee hours.  Even though my back was hurting and I was getting slaphappy tired, it was a lovely time.

I slept a lot the next day.  Did laundry, made a Target run, stuff like that.  I think I'm overdue for a spring cleaning in my room, but since it's only just now starting to feel like spring, I think I'm good.  Plus the Rapture is supposed to occur on Saturday this week, so I'm not sure if I should really start now anyway?  We'll see.  If the Rapture IS this Saturday, I will be quite put out.  I've got stuff to do.

Uh, what else?  Book club yesterday.  I wasn't really wild about "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" because I already love the original version too much, and it just wasn't funny.  The style was too cut-and-paste, and just...just...really not funny.  But book club was great as usual, and I love Briana's house.  Note to self, the neighborhood she lives in has possibilities, mainly because it actually has trees.  I figure if I can wind up with a moonroof on my car, I can have trees where I wind up moving.  At least, that would definitely make me happy.  And having a safe garage, lots of windows, colorful walls, and wood floors.  Stuff like that.

I need a bowl of cereal.

food, awesome, stuff, friends, sleep, singing, fun, cars, work, book club, books
