Yeah, I feel like having a little David Tennant on my blog.  Gosh he was amazing as the Doctor.  Anyway, moving on.  It's been kind of a good news-bad news week all around so far.  Good news: work's been going by at a pretty good pace, bad news: still have no idea about the new system.  Oh, well.  I guess it'll happen when it happens.  Good news:  I know how to Lindy Hop in six count!  It's a lot like jitterbug, as luck would have it, and I'm actually pretty good so far, just need to use more hips.  Bad new: creepy guy in the class who of course picks me out at once and I'm torn between being nice and suffering through his company, or being rude and well...being rude.  So far I'm working the shy, "paying close attention to Nate and Christy", or "hey, new text message!" thing.  I also need to practice the whole tension between me and the lead, but it's really hard to put pressure when I lean back into the lead's hand, if he's not going to give me pressure too.  Oh, well, next lesson.  Practice more on Friday.

Uh, what else?  Good news: went to the dentist yesterday and he told me I'm a very good patient, the flossing looked good, and my teeth are awesome!  Bad news: I still have three stupid cavities on the back nine.  CURSES!!!  I think of all the medical procedures I've been through, having cavities filled sucks the worst.  I hate having a numb face, and my teeth are always sore for a week or so afterwards, and the drilling and the smells, the novocaine burn, and HAVE I MENTIONED I'M NOT COOL WITH NEEDLES?!?!  Well, I'm not, and geez, I'm flinching just thinking about it.  Ack.

Anyway, leaving aside terrifying dental procedures, good news: I have the most amazing new nickname, Her Serene Royal Highness Princess Mayapple.  Yes, that's right.  Bad news: I can't decide what kind of prince she should have (I can't help it, good nicknames usually become alter egos, hence the 'she'), and what should I call her fox companion?  So much to think about.

And now... something for dinner I think.

needles, flossing, panic, pain, dentist, princess, work, dancing
