Nothing in particular

I have done very little of constructivity today.  Is constructivity a word?  I don't care, I'm going to sleep in a bit.  I'm still catching up on everything I missed last weekend.  Family really wears one out.  Not as much as work, but still.  I did get a library card today, and picked up my book club assignment, and I have to remember that book club is on Tuesday this month not Monday.

Oh crap... I think I have a haircut on Tuesday.  Hmm, I'll check tomorrow.  I really really want a haircut, but I do want to go to book club and, you know, see people whom are not family or coworkers.  Speaking of which, annoying freakish coworker actually got too close for comfort this week.  First, after hearing about my cousin who's hoping to get into the Naval Academy and become a handsome young pilot which I have no doubt he will do, obnoxious coworker ASKED FOR HIS NUMBER.

First of all, no.  Second, he's seventeen and uninterested in dating at this point.  Third, hell NO.  Fourth, he lives in a different state and, oh yeah, she's not good enough for him.  And finally Never in this Fucking Life will she come anywhere near my family without running the risk of getting hit with a chair by me.

Argh.  That and she almost hugged me when I held the elevator for her.  Didn't know it was her running for the elevator.  Almost climbed up the wall to get her away from me.  No touchy!

Anyway.

I was watching Phantom of the Opera because it was on and I do enjoy it.  Gerard Butler and Patrick Wilson in ruffly shirts, heck yes.  Emmy Rossum's okay, but Christine annoys me in general because she's so incredibly gullible.  Guy shows up in the mirror?  Of course that must be your long-dead father back to give you voice lessons whilst wearing a mask and sounding entirely unlike your dad.  Duh.  What I would love to see is the rest of the Phantom's wacky opera.  I mean, since he didn't really mean for anyone to see the ending, did he even bother with it?  I can imagine the stage manager and the conductor working on it...

Conductor: "Why do we play the same eight bars for an hour and a half after 'The Point of No Return'?  Oh, well."
Stage Manager: "Why do we need a trap door in the fire pit?  Whatever.  This guy's crazy."

That is a good song, btw.  I love when Gerard Butler whips his cloak over the railing of the scaffold, BAM!  He's a foxy musical theater stalker.  And Patrick Wilson gets all choked up to see Christine and the Phantom so "personal", but he's dreamy like that.  Can we just cut Chrisine altogether?  Just Phantom and Raoul dealing with whatever issues they both have?  Having a discussion about those fantastic frilly shirts?  Their experiences with working on comic book flicks with Zach Snyder?

It could happen.

Ahh, good rant this evening.  Now I think I'll go to bed.  And fantasize about Patrick Wilson while I'm at it.  Yowza.
