So, apparently it's Atheism Awareness week on facebook. I have absolutely nothing against atheism and its followers, but being the literature dork that I am, my first reaction to this statement in the form of a red letter A was, "Why are all these people I know suddenly admitting to adultery?" Which also got me thinking about The Scarlet Letter the novel, which man, for a thrilling subject of sin and adultery and sex in a Puritan community (oh the scandal!), that book could not have been more boring. I mean watching someone mow the lawn would've been more interesting than these people examining adultery.
Yes, right, Atheism. Nope, I have no real opinion on atheism, though I'm not particularly religious or non-religious or whatever it is supposed to be. However, I think being a hardcore Buddhist would be cool. My little brother has a friend who became hardcore Buddhist, which really just means you eat a lot of vegan food and are very, very mellow. If you have to be radical about your religious beliefs, I think Buddhism wins.
Uh, survived the weekend of being on call. Moments of mild panic came and went, and really the most work I had to do was for that stupid fleet that I was covering for last week. A bunch of their reps decided to send stuff in after I'd gone home, and they get all pissy about things if it's not done when they think it should be done, because we obviously aren't understaffed or have any other accounts that matter compared to theirs.
Argh.
On the upshot, 72 degrees tomorrow! Driving with the windows down and blasting Snow Patrol are definitely on the list.
