Hey, everybody, I meant to talk about this yesterday, but the Oscar discussion sidetracked me. However, I will quickly fill you in.
I have discovered the Snow Patrol blog, which is really just the lead singer Gary Lightbody's blog, but I can say it's pretty darn awesome. I also think he and I might just be soulmates on some level. Probably blogging and our fondness for reading. So, Gary, if you're reading this, I'm completely open to any advances you'd like to send. We have reading Sedaris, crying at WALL*E, and loitering in bookstores in common. Though, he does fail my one boyfriend test, since he seems to be about as scared of creepy crawly things as I am. So if I should walk into the bathroom to find a spider hanging on the shower curtain, I cannot call him for backup or leap into his arms, because it's likely he will be in a dead faint on the floor beside me.
Still, the idea has an amusing appeal. And we'd be a perfect tall, skinny, quirky Scotch-Irish couple. Blue eyes and long limbs all around.
*sigh*...he's so dreamy, in a college-student-just-rolled-out-of-bed-after-a-long-night-in-the-pub manner. I seem to be on a scruffy, geeky guy kick these days. I'm sure things could be worse.
