Life and the pursuit of unlameness
So as usual I've havent had a chance to breathe better yet post in my LJ. A few months gao I determined that I needed to go to LA. So I'm moving to LA this Fall. Since that day, I have been trying my best to slowly downsize my "stuff" and save every dime I can. Meanwhile I'm changing my book to appeal to LA agents and LA's style. I just shot a beauty story called Danger!, which looks pretty good I think.
Adam, my boyfriend, is moving with me. Thank god! He went to Specs Howard for Film editing, but can't get a job in the field with Detroit's dying economy. SO We hope that he can dust off his editing skills and get started there. Even just an PA job would be an start!
So bottom line, if you or anyone you know has relocated from Detroit to La and have any words of wisdom or guidance PLEASE HELP!
We are thinking of looking for a place to live in Echo Park, Los Feliz or Silverlake. That's where I normally stay, so it's what I know. If you know something I don't know, which the odds are good, share with me! I'll be also looking for a studio in the vicinity of my residence.
So yeah we are moving my home, adams home and my studio...all at once across country. Scary. But exciting!
