I just watched a documentary about the Sami, the native inhabitants of the northern half of the Scandinavian peninsula, and to my deepest dismay I learned about what the Finnish state-owned Metsähallitus company do to the Sami and their way of life. - Those who know me know I'm a big fan of Finland and the Finnish people and their way of life... and I never would have suspected something like that from their government. I thought they cared for the Sami, who had been in Lapland for centuries, and from whom the land was taken by the Norwegians, the Swedish, the Russians... and the Finns.
But perhaps you should just watch it for yourselves, if you're interested. There are 6 parts, but I'm sure you'll find the other ones yourselves.
On google video, there's a Finnish version, too.
