you've probably heard my tale of woe

But hey, you get it again.  Just want to get it off my chest.

Flash back to Friday.  Leave work an hour early to go to the Nats game.  Get home, drink a couple of beers, get introduced to Flight of the Conchords.  (Goddamn funny it is.  Watched the first episode 3 times this weekend.  Even downloaded it to my iPod.  Hopefully they'll get the second one up soon...)

We end up late to the Nats game because the bus we were hoping would show up at the 18th Amendment never showed.  While at the game I ended up in a long, stupid quest to get money from the ATM, chugged a beer while walking back up (which was when I started to feel the buzz really kick in), and managed, with two Miller Lites and a bag of peanuts in my hands, to fall on the stairs up to the seats, taking a nice hunk out of my elbow.  I thought it was a scrape but looks like it was deeper than that.  Still hurts like fuck.

Then, on my way home from shots, gin and tonics, and whatever at the 18th Amendment I manage to leave my cell phone in the cab.  While I'm passed out bleeding on my comforter, my friends call it and get into a screaming match with the cabbie who was demanding $100 for the phone.

I'm told that I lost my phone - no idea yet - the next morning while showering for my trip to Baltimore.  I can't get ahold of the cabbie, I cancel the service, spam my friends not to use it, and drive to Baltimore for Games Day.  (Check out GamersInfo.net for my story on WAR sometime soon...)

Stopping by Dogfish Head Alehouse to meet some friends on the way home, I head back home.  With a serious lack of sleep still Sunday I end up spending most of the day, instead of taking the nap I so desperately want, drinking with TMF III (not his fault, it was my fault for not napping) and watching bad action movies (Bridge of Dragons and Showdown in Little Tokyo, plus a bit of Hollow Point).  Then I stay up too late watching "Holmes on Homes" (getting addicted to home improvement shows) and "Flight of the Conchords".

Got through today (had to work 9 hours and got into work late) not making it to the gym.  My knee (the one I dislocated years ago and still bothers me occasionally) was twinging badly this morning and I decided 2 hours of sleep was more important, and just too tired after work (plus oddly sore in the arms).  Though I did get my phone back ($20 "delivery fee") and had an amazingly good lunch of pho (thanks for the tip on Pho 75
mope !).  It did mean today was the first Monday that I just skipped in a long time.

Now, time for bed.  8 hours of sleep before going to the gym - if I go before work - otherwise closer to 10!  Can't work out on Wednesday (orientation early in the morning, then an eye doctor's appointment in the evening, but maybe after that...).

God I'm tired...
