Feeling good

Even though it's only Wednesday, this week has already been one of the best I've had in quite some time. It started Monday morning when I went to Hastings Middle School like usual, and I taught two classes completely on my own. It was very exhilarating and nerve-racking at the same time. I think middle schoolers are probably the toughest group to teach because of all the things they go through with puberty and all that kind of junk. The first class was so-so, but the second one went extremely well. The students got really into it and it was a lot of fun. When I got back to RF, I took my coaching exam and nailed it!!

So, then came Tuesday...I got up early and Kyle & I did our track workout at 7am before class and it went really well. After that I went to Ed. Psych. and I got an opportunity to take a leading role in planning this huge event for 120 7th grade students coming to visit our campus for a day. So, myself, 5 girls in my class and the professor are the ones planning everything. It's going to be a ton of fun and I can't wait for it. Then, Tuesday night I got a call from Community Education in CR letting me know that I got hired to teach a sports class to elementary school kids this summer!!! It's gonna be so much fun!!

Today I had one class cancelled plus it was a super gorgeous day out so for our run today, we went out on the dirt trails that run along the Kinnie River which was great cuz I haven't been back there in like 2 months. I also finished my first article for gopherfitness.com today, so that will be published in the next week or so. And I decided that I am going to be a small group Bible study leader on campus next year! That is probably the thing I am most excited about, it's going to be an amazing experience and I am really looking forward to it.

The rest of the week isn't too bad. I have an exam tomorrow and a tempo run for practice and Friday I have just two classes and a short run before the meet on Saturday. I'm running the 5K at our home meet and my parents are coming to watch so I'm looking forward to that. I'll try and update again next week sometime before I head home for Easter. If not, maybe I'll see some of you next weekend, if not have a great Easter.

God Bless,

- Brandon
