Busy week!

It's been a busy week plus since I've been home but it's sure been fun. I got home Thursday night, and had family get-togethers Friday, Saturday, and Sunday which were all a blast just getting to see my family again. The funniest part was one of my uncles asking me (for the second year in a row, by the way) if I had gotten my hair permed, and of course I have not; it's just naturally curly when I let it grow! Let's see, what else happened this week? On Monday I went out for dessert and drinks with Katie Heitman at Bennigan's which was fun, she's leaving for London in a few days to go study abroad and work in Parliament for a semester which is pretty cool. While I was there I ran into Matt Tucker who was the senior captain of the cross country team at CRHS when I was a freshman, I hadn't talked to him in like 3 years so that was pretty cool to catch up a bit with him. On Tuesday night, I went out for dinner with Nicole Lunde to catch up with her as well. She's doing good, her sister is about to have her second baby and Megan Sullivan just gave birth to her daughter right before Christmas, crazy huh?

On Wednesday, I took my cousin Josh to the Timberwolves game, which was a lot of fun. We had great seats and the Wolves dominated the entire game. Josh had only been to one Wolves game before and he really enjoyed it. He is like a little brother to me and me being away at college I don't get to spend much time with him like I used to so this was really good, and I had a great time hangin' with him. I spent the day at the Mall of America on Thursday with the family which was insane! There were so many people there I couldn't believe it. Then on Friday I ran a road race in Edina after the big snowfall. The roads were actually really clear and it was kinda warm so I was able to run a pretty good time considering it was a December race except for one thing...the cop didn't tell me where to turn around so I ended up running an extra tenth of a mile over everyone else!! I ended up 14th overall but would've been in the top 10 had he told me where to turn, but what can you do I guess, it still went pretty well considering that.

Then yesterday I drove out to Pittsville, Wisconsin where my buddy Rob lives to celebrate New Year's with him, his family and some friends from River Falls. It was a great time and we went on our annual midnight New Year's run through town, it was a blast! Now I have almost no plans for the next two weeks home, hopefully I don't get too bored but we'll see. I hope everyone had a great New Year's and I hope you all have a great remainder of your break at home!!

God bless,

- Brandon
