This weekend was by far the most spiritual and uplifting weekend of my entire life. SonShine was absolutely incredible! I had more fun than I ever could have hoped to have there. Seeing so many great bands was a blast, especially meeting and seeing Switchfoot perform! That was totally awesome! They know how to put on a great show.
But for me, most importantly, this weekend has helped me a lot in my spirituality and my faith in God. I've never been a real devout Christian as most of you know, but deep down I've always wanted to become a stronger Christian and I've wanted to build a better relationship with God. I had said to myself I was gonna do it time and time again, but it never happened until now. This weekend opened my eyes, and more importantly my heart and my mind to God and that there is no end to the possibilities to what can happen when you have a relationship with God. I think I needed help from friends (and even complete strangers) to get me started on the road to where I want to go, and the group I was with this weekend really helped me (whether they realized it or not). I wouldn't even have gone if it weren't for Jamie, so to her, I am forever in debt. This was her birthday present to me and I couldn't have gotten anything better. Not only did I experience a great festival with great friends, I also started to understand where I want to be in my relationship with God and how I can get there. That is the single greatest gift I have ever received, Thank You so much baby! I Love You SO MUCH!!! (she probably won't read this but I'm writing it anyway because I can).
The others I was with this weekend though...it meant a lot to me that I could experience this deeply personal revelation with all of you, thank you for being with me, something like this always means so much more when you can share it with others. So, again thank you Erin, Matt, Mike, Isaac, Ashley, Shawn, Ryan, Mitch, Chad, Cary, Bobby, Gina, Matt O...hopefully that's everyone. I think it is.
Anyway, I still have some more unpacking to do and I gotta take care of this stupid sunburn (it hurts bad!) It's back to work at Dick's tomorrow morning and pretty much all this week. I just hope I can get out of work on Wednesday...I don't want to work on my birthday!!!
OK, for real, I'm outta here. Talk to y'all lata!
