a little rant
ok, i normally dont want to be angry, but this time, im kinda pissed.
im jewish, and normally that fact doesnt bother people. my friends dont mind my star of david on me. most of the people who i meet dont mind it. when i pitch, the batter doesnt mind. people dont generally mind.
then why is it, that recently, i have been getting the once over by people when they see the star of david. yes i do wear it all the time, i like the star. i dont take it off. so why is it that i got it the other day at a rest stop, from someone at a food place. but watever thats fine, tis k, they really didnt give me a nasty look, they just looked me over.
today- i was on the beach, after swimming, i took off my rashguard, which i use to stay warm when swimming. i was talking with my dad and one other person, about the flag that was put up on our block without the blocks permission (to do anything in my part of rockaway, u need the blocks permission and the neponsit property's associations, dont ask me why, i have no freaking clue), when these 5 kids walked up, one skinny and the others were fuckin fat, i mean fat, like it was hanging off of them. and they were shirtless, and thinking they were everything. they stopped looked at the flag, and then the houses (yes they are big) and were talking about the flag, when one of the fat fucks, the tanner one, turned for some reason and looked at me, he met my eyes and then he looked down, at my star, when he looked back up, his eyes had changed, from being im macho, to a little bit of hatred, and he made a comment to his friends, and they laughed, and then he looked at me. i looked right back at him and stared at him till he left.
errr i hate people who are fucking ignorant, and act it. u wanna be a racist fine, i dont care, just dont look at me with contempt because u see a star of david.
