MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Christmas was pretty swell this year. On Christmas Eve Eve, I went to Mom and Don's and gave them their gift: Satine, the kitten I've been raising for a month for them. It was sad to get rid of her:( But they LOVE her!:) I stayed over that night, then we all (Mom, Don, James, Me,...and Brian met us!) went to Mom's side for Christmas Eve. She wanted me to stay at her house again that night, but I was very moody and annoyed with staying at her boring house. Haha. Well I have no bedroom there- I have to sleep in James's boring guest-room thing, they have NOTHING TO DO, and there's only 3 channels on their TV, they have lame dial-up internet, and maybe 2 books in the house...etc. Boring. PLUS they decorate in BEIGE and some light blue or green when they're feeling wild...so I feel so uneasy there (Mom HATES when I say that! But it's true...I feel like I'm in an asylum...haha).
ANYWAY, I came back to Ypsi, hung out with Brian (drove him crazy...), then went to his family's house in South Lyon for a big breakfast. They are fun! His dad is southern and I tried grits. Yep. SO THEN I drove to Allen Park to be with Dad's side for Christmas (it's cool how we already did mom's on eve and dad's on day anyway, so when they got divorced nothing changed...the only difference is we now leave the other parent at home...haha) and it was great to see everyone! My cousins are getting so old! They are still so cute! I am the eldest on each side of the family. I find myself acting extra dorky these days...and I think it's because everyone is turning into cool teenagers, and I'm subconsciously showing them that you don't have to be cool forever...:D I love my family!
Mom and Don got me some groovy KitchenAid stuff for Christmas, and a Brandi Carlile CD, and wine, and some other fine stuff. James got me wine (he turned 21 on Dec. 4th so he bought EVERYONE alcohol!), Dad gave me money, and I got various amounts of cash and giftcards, and goofy little candies and jewelry and such from the rest of the fam. OH and did you know Brian is awesome? He got me some amazing gifts, but LOOK AT WHAT HE PAINTED FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:

Frank Sinatra, Audrey Hepburn (as Holly Golightly), Cary Grant, and Fred Astaire! 3 of my favorite actors, and one guy I just love to watch dance! When I'm not home, I swear Fred jumps out and dances around the apartment! And Cary DEFINATELY hits on me ALLLLL the time;) (he looks SO handsome!) BRIAN IS AMAZING!
