I've been pretty busy lately, and this is the first time I've been able to sit down and fill in my lovely readers on what's been going on. I'm basically moved into my BW room now, and most everything is put up or away or wherever. I even managed to move all of the furniture around to mimic last year's arrangement all by my-weak-self! The room is backwards from last year, so I'm still kind of turned-around. I'm sitting in "Alyssa's position" from last year too, so that makes me even more confused, esp since Heritage is dumb and puts all of the electrical outlets in one place- one rather inconvenient place for where I'm sitting. I hit a little snag when I was making up my bed and I heard a big *crunch*. I climbed down and discovered that whoever put the bed back together last didn't hammer one of the black bars in all the way. So I had to muscle it back it without a hammer... funnnn. I've also discovered that I have entirely too many shoes. But you probably already knew that if you knew anything about me. Alyssa is coming today through Sunday (YAY!) and bringing the TV (another YAY!) and other stuff to complete the room. The Phi Mu section has been painted Barbie Wonderland pink (description stolen by LeeAnne) and is rather overwhelming when you see it for the first time. But I'm used to it now, it's kind of cute, especially since some of the girls sponge-painted the lounge so it isn't quite as shocking and over-the-top.
I was at XC camp from Sunday to Wednesday this week at the Methodist camp Wanake. It was definitely a lot of fun, it beat doing the same things back here on campus, that's for sure. It's always nice to run around new places... you know, see some different trees and rocks and such, haha. I think the girls team is going to be spectac this year. Seriously. Like, actually contend for the OAC title and not just talk about it. We are going to be dynamite, I'm so excited about it. It may even excite me to the point where I actually run fast! Wouldn't that be a shocker? We have two new freshmen girls- one of which, if not both, will be in the top seven. If that doesn't motivate me to get my butt in shape I don't know what will! The only complaint I have so far about running is that by Wednesday morning I had already exceeded my highest mileage week from the summer (translation: my highest week during the summer was 25 miles, and I surpassed that number by Wed morning)... yikes! I better really be careful these next few weeks to make sure my mileage doesn't go shooting up too fast or too high. We all know what could happen then. :/
