Working in the superdome has its challenges. Occasionally having to dodge disaster tourists... Being forced out of your normal parking lot for Saints games... Dealing with event traffic on a regular basis... And, then there is them painting epoxy next to our air intake filter for 3 weeks in a row. We have quite literally and forcibly been made to get high on epoxy fumes (not to mention the exhaust from the zamboni and other heavy machinery that is being run) every day for the last 3 weeks. Finally today after everyone in the office reported that they'd begun to "sleep like the dead" and feel perpetually nauseated, we were given permission to break and work from home as needed. Which is obviously going to cut down on productivity, but the being high was cutting into productivity as well, so I guess it evens out.
All in all, I still like the new job. Then again, I might feel differently when the epoxy withdrawal symptoms kick in.
