Feel free to hate me

So! Here I am! Alive and well! I just haven't updated all summer. But hey, I'm back at school now, so I'll have time to waste. I should be unpacking right now, but I got bored. So this is my new distraction.

So Summer Stage was awesome. I stage managed a Children's Theater show (Alexander Who Is Not Not Not Not Not Not Going to Move...sleeper hit of the summer), directed a One-Act (The Philadelphia by David Ives...and it was the closer in One-Acts. That's right, we rock), danced in Dance Troupe (Jeff's Tap and Crazy Jazz...as per usual), and sang in Cabaret. Yes, that's right. I sang. I sang "Hear My Song" from Songs For a New World by Jason Robert Brown. I sang it with four other people, but we all had a solo and a mic, and there were a lot of harmonies that we all sang. And everyone liked it! I sang and people liked it! That NEVER happens! I was also in Ragtime: The Musical, which was...amazing. Hard to describe, but such an intense and moving experience. I was in the immigrant chorus (because I look so Jewish/Italian/Haitian...), but I had a blast and met a lot of awesome people. So yeah.

Now I'm at school for XC preseason. Hooray, away from my family! However, during the matinee of Ragtime (August 11th), I slipped down the steps and twisted my ankle. I was out of commission for a few days, but nothing too serious. I iced it and wrapped it, and I was fine. However, because I'm an IDIOT, I wrote it down on my injury form. Because the original injury is so recent, the trainers want to wrap my ankle as a precautionary measure, since I'll be running on uneven surfaces. Even though I've run the past few days on uneven surfaces and I've been fine. They also want me to weigh in and weigh out for EVERY practice, to make sure that I'm hydrating myself or whatever. They want to measure my water weight because of my stupid heart condition.

This wouldn't be a huge deal, other than inconvenience, except for the fact that they think I'll be ready to practice at 8:30 every morning, since the training room opens at 8. What time does morning practice start?

7:45

STUPID TRAINERS! I am FINE! And they're going to make me be late for morning practice EVERY DAY, even though I'm OKAY! I'm HEALTHY, so they obviously have to find something wrong! Goodness gracious! I'm just really angry that I'm going to be late to practice, especially when I am, for once, HEALTHY! There is nothing wrong with me...why can't they let me enjoy that?

OK. Back to unpacking, then bed.

Farewell, all.
