Wow, I've been completely slacking on the livejournal updatage! Well, it's sooo nice to be home for summer. I liked my apartment and all this past year, but it never really felt like home. For the last month I've gotten to hang with my family and my puppy and it was much needed. Also, on June 6th, David came home finally from the army and you can't even believe how happy I am that he's back. I've been working 30 hour weeks at Cedar Landing and making pretty good money...sooo I doubt I'll go back to Panera in the fall seeing as I can work like 2 nights a week waiting tables and make just as much as working 5 days at Panera. Sorry guys!
The fam & I just got back from New Braunfels and camping on the river. We took the Botkins and David and Ryan and Joel with us as well as some newcomers and they were lots of fun. Mallory, Andrew T, Andrew K, and Lady Laura! We had a blast and I have to say that I love the Jose! Apparently it causes me to sing so I apologize for all who had to experience that!
I'm leaving on Tuesday to go to St Louis and spend a week with my cousins and grandparents. I'm going to babysit for my 4 yr old and 9 yr old cousins while their parents are in Mexico. I'll also spend mucho time with my grandpa since he is very sick and we never know what will happen next with him. Keep him in your prayers! The camping trip we all just went on was a much needed break from all of the emotional stress of that ordeal. I love him very much and I pray that it all turns out okay.
Hmmm...what else?! OH I bought a road bike (no not a motorcycle - many people have asked lol). It's a trek 1000 and now I can go riding with my parents and brother and maybe David if he wants to. My family did the ms150 this year and my goal is to do it with them next spring. I've got a long way to go though.
It already feels like the summer is flying by. I still have about 2 months until classes start though so that's exciting. I've signed up for brit lit, o-chem, technical and professional writing, volleyball, us history, and christian heritage. I'm still not ready to take on that though, so I'll just keep enjoying my summer for now.
Today was fathers day and we got my dad and ipod nano. I also bought him some grilling stuff and we took him to dinner and also made him breakfast this morning. We had Chilis for dinner. Their garlic herb grilled salmon is amazing! Definitely try it out!
I have an eye appointment in the morning so I'm gonna get to bed seeing as it's 11:20. Yea, I'm weak lol...I've never been able to stay up very late. Take care ya'll and have a fun and safe summer!
Love, Jenny
