I'm glad the writer's guild is striking. I want residuals on internet downloads by the time I graduate. It's ethical. A couple shitty things: 1)my teachers are poor and in poor moods. 2)I can't get an internship for the next few months 3)WAY more competition in screenwriting contests 4)TV is going to suck for a long time.
This could mean the golden age of reality television, theatre, independent youtubisodes and independent film.
Hollywood forgets where stories come from.
MidWestern wanna-be-scabs don't understand that the guild will black-ball you if you go to Hollywood now. Plus, they suck probably. Believe me, I'm so fucking tempted, but alas, I'm not a snake.
I just feel really really really bad for the kids graduating this semester from my department. They are so fucked.
