There's a lot that the IRS can sieze refunds for. Student loans, child support, alimony, property taxes, court judgements, the list goes on and on. Plus, if you don't make any progress at all, they can sieze your wages too. Just a warning. *hugs*

TX is not a garnishment state and even if they tryed that, would do them no good because i do not make enough that if they take anything would i be able to pay bills to live,

I hate to tell you this hun, but living in TX doesn't save your arse when the gub-ment decides they want your money. The IRS levied my dad's paychecks for years. I watched it happen ( ... )

them levying your tax refund is the first notice you've begun attracting attention.

I didn't want to be the harbringer of doom and mention that...

Don't frell with the IRS. They brought down Al Capone, when the FBI and everyone else failed. In the accountancy news circles, you should see what they're doing to people who are filing fradulent excise tax refund returns. We're talking armed agents going out arresting tax preparers. It's crazy.

But back on topic...
Helping out a friend should not be the priority. Think of yourself first, get things fixed, then you can help out people when you can.
