"Macho Macho Man..."

While today didn't warrant any truly exciting and mysterious surprises for me as I took my usual run (although I am soo happy and proud to announce that I have now made it up to a gut wrenching four straight miles of jogging - And I have to admit, I TOTALLY did a little "jump up and down and let out a scream of victory" dance at the finish line...) i.e. handsome faces... I do have a happy little story, well, rather a personal observation to share that tickled my fancy (and perhaps yours will be too)

Just as I was rounding the bend heading back through the tunnel at BWCT, I hear this really racuous noise... like a heard of hunters crossing over the moor on the far side, howling with pride after a day well spent in the woods... (okay, okay.. perhaps not THAT loud...) and then out pops this young man, head phone clad, loudly singing his wee-little heart out to his own rendtition of "I'm a Macho Macho Man"... I nearly died laughing as he ran right past me, barely acknowledging my presence as he took off down the trail, his footsteps echoing his joyful refrain, encouraging him ever on...a grin on his face, stretching from ear to ear.

After I got over my first overwhelming and instictive desire to laugh my toes off, It occurred to me how truly rare a site that is to see... someone bouncing to the beat of their own drum (or in his case, own cd) without a care or worry about what anyone else might think...

So Bravo jogging man... (or should i say, macho macho man....)

Now that is something to smile about :)
