Day 05 - The pairing with the least chemistry?
Yeah. Any pairing that doesn't have one scientist in it.
Or, alternately, Harry/Hermione. That pairing squicked me for the longest time because I could not see why people thought they'd be good/interesting together romantically. I still don't really see, but I've realized that there are many, many kinds of ships, and not everyone is attracted to reading the same thing. Maybe I'm still just a little be bit squicked, though.
Day 06 - The best kiss?
I just might have to mention Naruto/Sasuke.
Because the sheer WTF factor of a shonen manga introducing The Rival through an accidental kiss has not faded since I first time read it, and I still snicker happily whenever I think of it.
From the 'this is actually meant as a romantic kiss' side of the argument: Ron/Hermione.
"No," Ron said seriously, "I mean we should tell them to get out. We don’t want any more Dobbys, do we? We can’t order them to die for us -"
There was a clatter as the basilisk fangs cascaded out of Hermione's arms. Running at Ron, she flung them around his neck and kissed him full on the mouth. Ron threw away the fangs and broomstick he was holding and responded with such enthusiasm that he lifted Hermione off her feet.
"Is this the moment?" Harry asked weakly, and when nothing happened except that Ron and Hermione gripped each other still more firmly and swayed on the spot, he raised his voice. "OI! There's a war going on here!"
I waited seven years for that kiss, and it happened and it was glorious and ill-advised and epic and I still fucking squeal every time I read that scene. Sometimes when I think about that scene, as well. MY OTP I LOVE IT SO MUCH. She kissed him because he cared about the elves. I spare you the capslock, but I originally typed the entire paragraph in CAPS.
And that seems to be it as apparently the rest of my OTPs aren't canon enough to get a kiss scene, or else the kiss isn't worthy of their development (I'm looking right at you, Belle/Beast and Mulan/Shang), or else I forgot.
