I can see where the terror comes from. But this fic is so perfect. This is Bats' Gotham in all her glorious dementia. To be loved by a madman? Nothing in comparison to being loved by and having a mad city for a parent.

When Gotham loves you, she kills your parents. And you love her and you can't leave her and that probably should be called 'Gotham Syndrom'. And possibly, in some parts of the DCU, it is.

If she loves you enough, I'm not sure a ticket out would be enough. Cases in point: Bruce, Jason. ...Steph.
