Watching the Britney special on MTV tonight and wow. First, what's wrong with her voice? Is she hoarse? She sounds weird. And not that I had plans to go to her tour, but I think I'll skip it and remember Britney as she once was. What's the point of watching her when I could do the choreography better? I get that she's rusty, but I don't think that's the issue here. And if she can't do the hard hitting choreography anymore I get that too, but it's like they're trying to keep up the facade.
I read an article last week that said songwriters love Britney because she's an emotional and vocal blank slate. She can become whatever you need her to. Indeed. She's looking a little blank slatey these days.
