I babysat the nieces last night and after talking to my SIL this morning, apparently we all got in trouble for watching too much tv. It was raining all day and they promised Samantha she could watch a movie. When it stopped raining do you think she wanted to go outside and play? No. She wanted her movie and she wanted it NOW. It was all I could do putting it off until 6:30pm since she had a meltdown every time we discussed it. I told Kristina that and she said when that happens she says no more tv which fine, you're the parent. But I'm the aunt and I really didn't want any meltdowns, especially since I was wiped last night and quite looking forward to a little snuggly couch time with the girls. I think Kristina was a little mollified when I told her we played Monopoly Junior and the Princess game. The best part? Liv loves the Food Network! We watched an hour of Ace of Cakes and had a blast discussing all of the cakes and what we want our cakes to look like. She really, really wants to bake a multi-tiered cake like that so I may need to make that happen one Saturday this winter.
I told Olivia right away that I was pregnant and she was thrilled. Zero questions about how it came about which surprised me. She was full of advice though! After my sixth trip to the bathroom she said "Auntie, after going through four pregnancies I can tell you that when you're pregnant, you pee a lot." Word.
The nausea has set in full force and I can only imagine full on morning sickness is only around the corner. Any and all suggestions for dealing with this are welcome!
