Happy New Year.

2008 was an epic year, no matter how you slice it.
There was the Great Blizzard of Aught-Eight.
The Great Wind Storm of Aught-Eight.
The Great Power Outage of Aught-Eight.
The Worthington Whooping Cough Plague.
I graduated from OSU with not one degree... but two.
I had all kinds of emotional apexes.
I fought to keep my strength in Studio.

Don't get too down that you haven't found a full-time teaching job. I know you are doing the best you can... you have always had the capacity to do a lot with your time and that is not going to stop now. You are a versatile person who can handle a lot. Columbus isn't doing so well right now... that is one of the reasons I am thinking I shouldn't plan to go back there for a fresh start, because it will be a rough start. I think I heard that their symphony is collapsing financially (correct me??).
You are persistent and you will find a way. And hey, there are way worse things than VS that you could've been addicted to, so just look at it that way.
Your New Year's Resolution should be to come see me!! J/k I understand you probly can't do that, but I wish you could! Either way, please call me whenever you can because I have something important to tell you that I shouldn't tell you in a comment. It's not about me, but about someone we both know and I think you would want to know about it.
