LJ land, how I missed thee!

Well... I'm still alive, obviously, albeit swamped with responsibilities. As far as HP fandom goes, I've gotten to the point where I'm completely over HBP and the Interview of Terror. Heck, when I spotted the new H/Hr movie pics, my first reaction wasn't the knee-jerk desire to hurl rocks at JKR. Nope. I just laughed so hard I almost killed both my lungs. Really, the movieverse just blows OBHWF to kingdom come. I'm having a grand time watching Harmonians squeeing all over HF and LJ, while the opposition panics, starts petitions, tells us to STFU, and reveals all sorts of insecurities that supposedly don't exist. Fandom cracks me up like no other.

Karma's a bi-yotch, isn't it? ;)

To my beloved shipmates: YOU GUYS ROCK. Why? Because even in the face of adversity, you're consistently the sanest, smartest, funniest group of human beings ever assembled on the internet.

Anyway, this fanart is relatively old, based on Underworld, my Prince of Tennis fic currently on hiatus, up on ff.net.

Medium: Pencil, mouse
Software: Photoshop CS

I drew this a couple of years ago, and the reason why I wanted to post this pic is that I did it before I got my Wacom tablet. In other words, I sketched it with a pencil, scanned it, and then colored everything with a mouse. Yep. A mouse. Clickety click.

I colored quite a lot of pictures using the old mouse method, in particular a couple of Slayers-based Xelloss/Filia fanarts. Needless to say, I was a LOT slower, and CG coloring was a huge pain in the, erm, wrist. Still, I'm damn proud of how my old pics turned out under those circumstances, crappy though they may be.

Even if you're not a Prince of Tennis fan and have never read my fic, I do hope you at least enjoy the art. :D

I'm looking forward to winter break because I want to color my black and white sketches, including the H/Hr ones. I really hate to leave stuff hanging, and I've got way too many projects unfinished as it is. I need to finish something, goshdarnit!
