Death to the purple monkey!
Years ago, I got a spyware/virus/computer voodoo curse thing on my computer in shape of a cute web "helper" purple monkey. It was the spawn of saten and I needed to have my computer exoecised and soaked in holy nerd soda to get rid of it, so now, any bad computer STD is a purple monkey. (It's a good thing I married a proper nerd!)
In the last week, I have been plagued by an even more evil computer bug, that kept re-installing software on the computer. We used 3 different anti virus spyware and all that is evil programs several times a day, and still couldn't get rid of it. The really annoying part is I don't even remember downloading anything to catch this! We finally wiped the computer and installed Ubuntu. (Linux is supposed to be like giving my computer a full body condom!)
So, now I have at least three more points up on the nerd scale and a new operating system. If I can get it fine tuned, I'll be very happy!
