rafting was incredible. there weren't a terrible amount of rapids, but there were enough to keep the trip interesting. when it was flat, i jumped out of the raft and made it my personal goal to swim around to the other rafts and splash as many people as possible. i also helped pull ian and jordana (two of my campers) out of their ducky. we were originally trying to tip it over, but pulling them out turned out to be easier. it was warm out but the water was so cold. so much fun. yay for the colorado river!
after this year, i don't know if i'm ever going to be able to go on a normal vacation again. i'm very, very quickly becoming quite the adventure fiend. i want to go on week long rafting trips. and run marathons. and climb mountains. and ski/snowboard down them.
this is a surprising and new development, but one that i think is going to mean a lot of fun vacations in the future for me. =)
even after running the half marathon, i still sometimes have a hard time considering myself an active person. but being out here just brings it out in me. i adore the outdoors. and i adore being active and DOING things.
it's been a long, long time since i've felt this good about myself.
