Hmmm.... not only do we have to face ecomonic downturn but our natural disasters have been extreme lately. What effect this has on insurance bodies I can only speculate with vast Nth Qld Flooding, Victorian devasted by bushfires, and although we were spared damage from Cyclone Hamish it still took the lives of 2 trawler men and has attributed to a cargo ship experiencing an oil spill and also lost about 620 tonnes of ammonium nitrate overboard in our local waters.

The full extent of wildlife affected by the spill was yet to be realised.
