Queensland bracing for Cyclone Hamish - If it doesn't Rain it Pours!

Mar 09, 2009 10:13

Good news that Cyclone Hamish off the mid-Queensland coast is still travelling parallel to the coastline. Fraser Island has been evacuated and a warning of low level flooding has been given between Yeppoon and Hervey Bay as heavy rain will culminate with the highest tide of the year. It is still classed as a Category 4 cyclone but with it heading towards cooler ocean temps should downgrade to a lower category each day.
