[For someone who had long since gotten used to sleeping on the ground, the fact that she was now sleeping in an actual bed for the first time in who knows when didn't immediately grab her attention. It was comfortable, and Lightning wouldn't mind if she slept for just a bit longer, right?
It was when the drone husband woke her up, though, and asked her when she was going to make breakfast, that Vanille woke up, nearly shrieking in surprise, as she then started to scramble around for her things. The fact that she could only find her clothes and weapon was ever so slightly worrying, but she'd think about it some more later.
Upon further inspection, her brand was missing, too, but that wasn't something Vanille could say she really missed.
