Do What You Think Is Right should be on your family crest. Some days you'd prefer to forget it.
Do What You Think Is Right should be on your family crest.
Like how you know to let the skin across your knuckles heal over, before your anger becomes a permanent part of your body.
Like how your mother is still married; she says, her mouth a grim line, til death do us part, but no one's bothered to check if your father's even alive.
What can you even say when she looks at you over a stack of bills? You say, I'll Survive, and you say, I'll Graduate and Okay, Fine, College.
Wishing you didn't understand so damn well.

And I think I like this one better, though other people might not. It is a little less cohesive. :P
