Intro Post
Hi There!
My name is Elizabeth and I am brand new to both LiveJournal and to original creative writing. I'm really excited to have found this comm - I think y'alls prompt lists are fantastic and my mind is buzzing with ideas!
I'm feeling an apocolyptic vibe right now, so my universe is built on the premis that for unknown reasons people all across the globe have begun to vanish. No one knows if it's some kind of government sanctioned action, if it's aliens, if it's the rapture - no one knows. My story focuses on an Iowan farmer named John Warner and his six-year-old daughter Abigail. Most everyone in their town has disappeared, including John's wife, but there's still the odd straggler that pops up from time to time. Some are good natured enough. Some are... not.
I'm not entirely sure where I see this story going. My father always says to "write with the end in mind" and unfortunately I don't quite see this story's endgame just yet. It's more a series of ideas than anything luicid or plot-like. I'm excited to explore it, though, and to explore the universes y'all have created as well. :)
