This was supposed to be fun, yeah? One wild night--the wildest--to make you buzzed, if not happy, for once. Well, what the hell happened?

They told you two shots was enough to give you the time of your life or get you out cold. They weren't counting on you, the anomaly, the margin for error, the one who's miserable no matter how drunk of high or slutty she gets. Two shots can't fix that. Down the antidepressant with a third. And now you're hallucinating and still miserable and you'd best thank whoever the hell you pretend to believe in that I appeared to keep you searching for the goddamn escape button.

Gotta keep pushing on, Beck. Take it day by day. Pushing and pushing and pushing and pushing. It all gets better someday--

Why don't you take up the razor, Beck? There's not much deeper you can go. And maybe you'll find it a sweet release--or drown in your acid hope.
