Sarina wheezed as her feet hit the ground. You could see her fear in the way she ran, the way she held her shoulders.

Stealing a glance behind her she could see the monster’s face. It’s ugly, green skin; it’s dead eyes.
Prohibiting her lunch from leaving, she snagged her foot on a tree root, causing her to drop to the ground, giving the monster a chance to catch up. She screamed as he wrapped his dirty, blood soaked hands around her neck, cutting her voice off.
